For sale is a beautiful example of the hard to find cast iron "Elephant with Howdah (Swinging Trunk)
" mechanical bank,
manufactured by A.C. Williams sometime between 1905 and the1920's. The bank
measures approximately 3 1/2" tall x 5" long
and it is in excellent condition:
it is all original, still operates as it should, and
it retains 90%+ of its original gold paint with red highlights. When a coin is placed in the coin slot, the elephants trunk swings slightly to the side
.
